Semana 17 - What's our plan for this week
Many important things have happened while we were away. This week, I'd like to explore how we celebrate the New Year in the Spanish Speaking World!

We have 2 classes this week, so here is the plan:

• Day 1: Welcome to 2017!
• How do you celebrate the New Year? - We are going to explore how this is done in a few Spanish Speaking countries, like in Spain, Colombia, Chile, & the US, among others. We are also going to learn "suelo", which is used to talk about things that you do in general. 
• How did you celebrated the New Year? - We are going to start learning the famous "pretérito", one of the two types of past simples we have. If you don't know much about grammar, don't worry. Most of you already know a few conjugations on this tense from previous years in school, and I will need your help to help reinforce this concept to those who have never used it before.
• Resolutions for 2017's list - In this activity, we are going to learn how to use "voy a + infinitivo" (I'm going to + verb) to create your own "2017's Resolution List". 
• Day 2: Project Day/Oral Quiz continued:  We are going to use the knowledge from Day 1, and apply it to our project, La casa de mis sueños. I'm also going to continue with the oral quizzes for those "lucky" students that didn't get to do them before the break. Please, visit the previous two posts to study for the quiz.
